ABU DHABI 3rd, June 2023, (WAM) – President His Highness, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, awarded Emmanuel Hategeka the Medal of Independence at the end of his term as Ambassador to the UAE and to recognize his contribution to the development of and strengthening of relations in many fields between the two nations.

Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al-Nahyan, Minister of state, presented the medal for Hategeka. He wished the Ambassador good luck in his future work and commended his role in enhancing the relations between the UAE, Rwanda and all other fields during his tenure.

Hategeka, for his part, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the achievements of the UAE and reflected on its keenness and ambition to elevate the status of the country and enhance its international reputation.

The Ambassador thanked the UAE government agencies that supported him in his efforts to improve bilateral relations between both countries.
