SHARJAH (WAM), 4th June 2023 — Sheikha Bint Sultan Al Qasimi is the founder and CEO of Kalimat Group. She has made an administrative decision to appoint Mariam Al Obaidli the Managing director of Kalimat Group.

This appointment is to ensure that the group continues to deliver high-quality Arabic books to enrich the Arabic library.

Al-Obaidli is a creative professional with 12 years’ experience in management, publishing, marketing, and the creative industry. Her expertise includes a variety of accomplishments, including spearheading campaigns that are customer-centric.

She has also managed a team of dedicated salespeople in the promotion and sale of publishing rights. She is an expert in managing rights to translated content for the global market.

Al-Obaidli, before joining Kalimat Group led the launch of a new brand identity for the Emirates Publishers Association at the local, regional and global level.

The Kalimat Group was established in Sharjah, UAE in 2007. It comprises a number of publishing houses. Its main objective is to enrich Arabic libraries with a variety of books including illustrated children’s book, comics and literature.

Kalimat Group works with renowned translators and authors from around the world to achieve this.
