Unification of Armed Forces is a turning-point in UAE’s Journey: UAQ Ruler

ABU DHABI 5th May 2023 (WAM). — H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council member and Ruler Umm Al Qaiwain reiterated the fact that the decision of unifying the UAE Armed Forces in one flag under a single leadership was a turning point for the UAE and a quantum jump founded by late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his founding brothers, on the 6th May 1976.

H.H. Sheikh Saud called the decision one of the most important as it started the comprehensive modernisation the Armed Forces.

Sheikh Saud, in a statement made to “Nation Shield”, on the occasion the 47th Armed Forces Unification Day said that the unity of purpose stems from the unity that exists between the UAE people and their leadership, as well as the vision, future, and destiny that they share.

The Ruler of Umm Al Quwain extended his warmest congratulations on this occasion to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of its Armed Forces. Vice Presidents. Their Highnesses Supreme Council members and Rulers in the Emirates. Citizens of our country. Officers and soldiers of our Armed Forces.

UAQ’s Ruler has praised the achievements of the country’s armed forces, praising their readiness and pioneering role. Today they are one of the most equipped and advanced armies around the world. This is thanks to the wise leadership and the support of the UAQ.

His Highness expressed pride in the members the country’s Armed Forces, saying that they always strive to maintain security, stability, and peace in the homeland and region. They also extend a helping and assistance for championing Arab issues and maintaining national, Gulf, and Arab security.

Sheikh Saud ended by remembering the sacrifices made by the UAE’s martyrs. He prayed that Allah Almighty would have mercy on those martyrs, who through their sacrifices embodied heroism in the Armed Forces.
