DUBAI. 4th May 2023. (WAM). As part of the celebrations marking International Workers’ Day on May 1, every year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, MoHRE, recognized its support workers.

The Ministry also honored some of the most long-serving private sector employees, workers from various skill categories and a group domestic helpers. It also held sporting events that included a large number of workers.

Abdullah Al Nuaimi said, “Honoring domestic workers is a way to express our gratitude for the consistent effort and commitment they have made to carry out their duties ethically.” We are committed to protecting their rights, and providing comprehensive care and fair treatments.

He continued: “On International Workers’ Day we salute all workers including support workers.” It is important to acknowledge their efforts not just on International Workers’ Day, but throughout the year by ensuring their rights, a stable work environment and a life of stability, all in accordance with international standards, local laws, regulations and international conventions.
