DEWA has strengthened its position as a inclusive organisation by increasing the number of employees who are trained to deal PODs from 8,443 to 9,688 in 2022. DEWA has completed the training of all EODs to empower and include them. The number of employees with determination has increased from 19 to 41 by 2022.

It was able to maintain its success by providing a flexible, inclusive and accessible environment for PODs.

Abshir Office – The dedicated HR team that supports the inclusion of EODs at the workplace, collaborated with the other departments to ensure their involvement in 2022 by conducting 14 virtual events, activities and workshops. 39 awareness circulars about ‘Safety Protocols After Returning To Work’ were sent to EODs. The EODs were invited to a special happiness event, which included 38 employees, their friends and other family members, in order to learn about happiness hacks, indoor sports, fun activities and quizzes.

The POD H&S Standards, COVID-19 Management System and DEWA H&S Management System have been externally evaluated by the ISO 45001 audit conducted by Bureau Veritas, as well as the British Safety Council 5 Star H&S Audit.
