AJMAN, 5th May, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi is a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman. He has highlighted the importance of the 47th Anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces Unification Day, as an important national event that is deeply embedded in the memory.

Sheikh Humaid, in a statement made to “Nation Shield”, on the occasion the 47th Armed Forces Unification Day praised the vision of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, his brothers and the Rulers the Emirates for creating a united army under a single leadership and a single flag to defend the security, stability and achievements of the country.

On this occasion, he congratulated the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Vice Presidents and Their Highnesses Supreme council members and Rulers in the Emirates; and the UAE people.

Sheikh Humaid also reaffirmed the crucial role played by founding leaders, including the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in creating a defense force capable of protecting both the country’s achievements and the nation.

He also commended President Sheikh Mohamed’s efforts to draft development and modernisation plan for the Armed Forces in order to keep up with modern technology, acquire advanced defense systems, and train and empower personnel by using training and equipment.

The Ruler in Ajman stressed the pride of the UAE in its Armed Forces. They are now among the most powerful in the world and in the region. His Highness said that their logistical and skilled personnel make an important contribution to international alliances. They also play an important role in providing assistance and humanitarian aid to friendly nations. This promotes stability throughout the entire region.

Sheikh Humaid emphasized that the military defends and protects the security and safety of the country, its independence, gains and achievements, as well as its resources. He said that the Armed Forces represent commitment, sacrifice, and redemption, as well as a prestigious institution of patriotism, loyalty, and dedication.

In closing, he praised the brave Armed Forces who are vigilant in protecting safety and security and the achievements of the country. He asked Allah Almighty for protection and to preserve the UAE’s goodness, glory, and prosperity.
