WAM and its Vietnamese counterpart sign MoU for enhanced media cooperation

ABU DHABI (WAM), 4th May 2023 — On the occasion of the official visit of Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, the Emirates News Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam News Agency.

Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi (Director-General of WAM) and Doan Thi Nhung, Deputy Director General of VNA, signed the MoU at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.

The MoU aims at enhancing cooperation and news sharing between the two parties.

The two sides are cooperating in order to create a media partnership that will support the advancement of both agencies in their respective media fields. This includes the exchange of photos, news, television content and other related areas.

Al Rayssi, on this occasion, stressed the desire of the Emirates News Agency (ENA) to further its cooperation with Vietnam News Agency. This is based upon the strong ties that exist between these two friendly nations and their shared commitment to expanding the horizons for the partnership in all areas, including media.

The WAM Director General stated that the MoU signed today would be used to create a model of media cooperation that is unique between WAM, VNA and other agencies. This will include exchanging experience and utilizing the advanced technologies in media that both agencies have.

Al Rayssi welcomed VNA’s participation and that of other Vietnamese media institutions at the Global Media Congress Abu Dhabi. This is a great international platform to build fruitful partnerships between media institutions and create constructive relationships.

Nhung, in turn, expressed her joy at the prospect of working with WAM. She emphasized the growing relationship between the two countries, and their desire to further develop it on all levels, including media.
