ABU DHABI. 4th May 2023. (WAM). Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan of Vietnam and her delegation visited today the Sheikh Zayed grand mosque (SZGM).

The tour began with a trip to the grave of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They recalled his qualities and wisdom that helped enrich the culture of peace and tolerance among nations around the world.

She was shown the halls of the mosque, and told about its external corridors.

The tour included a briefing on the noble message of the mosque, which emphasizes notions such as coexistence, tolerance and openness towards other cultures. This was inspired by the rich legacy of the late nation’s founder. It also highlighted the mosque’s role in highlighting and promoting the true essence of the Islamic culture and cross-cultural communications worldwide.

The Centre presented two publications to the guest at the end of their visit.

The Centre annually organizes the “Spaces of Light”, a photography competition that celebrates the aesthetics and culture of the mosque. Another book, “Houses of God”, is about the places of worship throughout Islamic history.
