DUBAI 3rd, May 2023 (WAM), Apparel group joined the growing list of companies, institutions, and individuals who announced their support for the “1 Billion Meals Fund” campaign launched by His highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minster of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai. The fund is the largest and most sustainable endowment of food aid. The Group has announced that it will donate AED 10,000,000 over a five-year period to help implement sustainable programs for fighting and eradicating hunger.

The campaign, organized by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Global Initiatives highlights the UAE’s unwavering commitment to helping individuals and communities in need throughout the world.

The “1 Billion Meals Endowment”, aims to provide food security for populations who are underprivileged in countries that struggle with food insecurity and to combat hunger and malnutrition among those affected by natural disasters and crises.

Sima Ved said, “The 1 Billion Meals Endowment campaign reflects UAE values of generosity, solidarity and giving, which are demonstrated every year in charity campaigns, as the UAE extends its helping hand to people around the globe. The UAE’s ongoing Ramadan solidarity campaigns demonstrate its generosity towards people in need.
