DUBAI, 3rd May, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chair of the Dubai Media Council) met today with Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed (Minister of State and Chairman of Board of Directors of Qatar Free Zones Authority), on the sidelines of World Free Zones Organisation (World FZO’s) ninth annual International Conference and Exhibition, which was held at Grand Hyatt Dubai.

The meeting focused on the importance of free zones to the global economy and the development of bilateral economic relations.

During the meeting they also discussed the different growth opportunities that the free zones provide to companies from various sectors including commercial, industrial, and technological.

The meeting also reviewed key topics discussed at the World Free Zones Organization’s 9th Annual International Conference and Exhibition. This event was attended by important industry stakeholders. The event explored topics such as ways to address recent global trade challenges, and strategies to ensure that free zones grow.

Helal Saeed Al-Marri, Director of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism and the Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, and Malek Sultan Al-Malek, Director of Dubai Development Authority and CEO of TECOM Group, attended the meeting.
